About My Clients
I work with people wanting to gain clarity and feel more connected, calm, and self-compassionate. I’d love to help you meet your goals of feeling more present in the here and now, both with yourself and with your relationships. My clients are often LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, or in CNM relationships. However, this is not a requirement to be a client. Often, my clients are self-motivated to work through trauma or to build healthy, secure attachments to themselves or others.
My Background and Approach
I use an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing on multiple theoretical orientations and therapeutic techniques. I base my approach on what is most helpful to my clients, what they want to work on, and any feedback I receive from them. I also believe in providing my clients with a variety of resources outside of the therapeutic relationship, such as books, podcasts, articles, etc., as I want to help you fill your own toolbox with skills and techniques that you can utilize outside of our sessions. My 10+ years of education, experience, and research has led me to focus on how we relate to ourselves and others in our lives, as well as the connection between our mind and body.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can grow or change at any time in their lives, and that often, mental health issues develop due to larger systemic problems - whether those systems are societal, social, or familial. I am a bisexual, ambiamorous woman, and I make it an important part of my life to engage with activities that support the LGBTQIA community, as well as offer education and awareness about CNM relationships. When I am not working, you may find me reading, meditating, journaling, scrapbooking, hiking, or playing video games. I also enjoy yoga, traveling, spending time with my loved ones, or hanging out with my two mischievous cats, Chai and Chouli (whom you're likely to meet on a video call!). If you want to learn more about how I can help, please feel free to send me an email.
