About My Clients
During my graduate program, I interned at a substance use center and I gained experience working with diverse areas of practice which include but not limited to: trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem issues, emotional challenges, attachment issues, substance use, and gender and identity issues. With cognitive behavioral therapy and holistic practices, you can find yourself empowered with tools and begin healing.
My Background and Approach
My goal is to establish a current issue and begin working at the roots of that issue. In this process I would like to explore your childhood, how your thoughts and behaviors are correlated, how you formed your worldview, and what environment have you been socialized in. I focus on how you past through the lens of your present. We will establish coping skills and de-escalation techniques that will help when identifying triggers. We will work on reframing harmful cognition to healthy ways of thinking which in turn will nurture healthy behavior.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With my lived experience as a first generation women of color in America and diverse educational experience, I am passionate to serve individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. I will not judge you and I do not discriminate against anyone. I believe that we are the key to our own healing, therefore it is important for me to hold a space for you that is safe, collaborative, and empowering for healing and exploration. I believe that you should see your therapist another support system. My first therapist was my support system through a tough time in life and I am still grateful for them. Therapy with them empowered me and gave me the tools to live the life I wanted. I would like to do the same for you, if you feel the same, please feel free to reach out!
