About My Clients
My clients often have similarities of childhood abuse, self-sacrifice, curiosity, struggles to know what they want for themselves, & the goal to be nicer to themselves and enjoy life more. I believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued for who they are. In our work together, we'll create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. My goal is to help you uncover your strengths, build resilience, and cultivate deeper self-awareness.
My Background and Approach
As a lifelong learner I am constantly educating myself on various approaches, whether that be therapeutic modalities, holistic wellness practices, spiritual experiences, and neuroscience. Every individual has a unique learning style and is multifaceted. I work with people on embracing all sides of themselves in order to be as authentic as possible. If we are unable to show up (most of the time!) as our true self, we are already at a disadvantage. I want to learn the things that you think are too random or silly to say out loud, and of course about your family (human, animal, plant, or whatever else 'family' means to you).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that gratitude and sunshine make the days a little easier. I am passionate about my cats, equity and inclusivity, chronic/invisible illness, and feminist/ecological social work. My volunteer work has centered around survivors (child abuse, domestic abuse, juvenile diversion), and I have done extensive training on shame and vulnerability by Brene Brown. As a Christian I hold the belief that all people have inherent value- no exclusions apply. I'm also fascinated by neuroscience because I figure the more we know about our brain's priorities, the more we can use to our advantage instead of shaming ourselves.
