About My Clients
I invite anyone who feels the need to talk to someone who is ready and eager to listen to them. I have worked in mental, behavioral and relational health for the last ten years and am excited to incorporate more couples, duos, ethically and consensually non-monogamous clients as well as individuals. As a student marriage and family therapist with a behavioral therapy background, I have worked alongside and with a diverse group of humans.
My Background and Approach
One approach to issues which I have adopted in my practice is the idea that all behavior is communication, sometimes we need some help finding out what we are trying to say. In session, it is important that each person feels heard, seen and respected equally. I approach sessions with a focused ability to provide an outside set of eyes, voice, and join in a stance of co-collaborator with clients in the healing and problem solving process. Whether we are working through a conflict, identity questions, or just checking in.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy spending time with my partner and chosen family. The word family can mean many things to each of us, as life progresses, having the ability to define this and many other terms and ideas in life is important. As we are constantly confronted with ideas which can, at times, feel polarizing, all existing together within our diverse communities, I focus on accepting what is and emotionally regulating as I process information. In session, we learn to emotionally regulate, speak with new language to and about ourselves and others. When we interact together, we develop our relationships together. Believing that we can change, adjust and evolve are the foundational stance which allow me to see past the fuzz and look into the eyes of another. I invite you to join me.
