About My Clients
I have found that my style and approach is a good fit for children, teens, adults, and elders who are dealing with life transitions, self-exploration, navigating social pressures of living within intersectional identities, have survived trauma, and are looking to connect with their values and find their community. I work alongside clients to deeply reflect, sit with, and learn how to hold the multitude of their experiences in a more affirming and authentic way that works for the client.
My Background and Approach
I am dedicated to social work as a practice of collaboration, compassion, and social justice.I typically use a combination of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Compassion-focused therapy to support clients in meeting their personal goals in treatment. I utilized a systems-focused, anti-racist, and anti-colonial approach in addressing the impacts of social oppression, systemic injustices, community and individual resilience, and the lived realities and wisdom of one’s own lived experience and of one’s lineage of ancestors.
