About My Clients
I view both therapy and assessment as a collaborative and integrative process, and I strive to provide a place where clients can uncover ways in which their context influences their identity, and ways to work toward change and growth. I view clients as experts of their own experiences, and value the unique facets that shape each identity.
My Background and Approach
I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, and in creating a space to explore values, emotions, and experiences. I approach all therapy through social justice-oriented and feminist lenses, with the goal of helping clients to feel seen, understood, and respected. I have expertise in working with trauma, the impact of oppression, Asian American mental health, individuals who are considering leaving or have left religious and spiritual communities, sexual identity and gender exploration, and college-age and early-adult development. Additionally, I offer psychological testing through a Therapeutic Assessment lens, where I collaborate with clients to maximize the therapeutic impact of testing. I also offer psychological assessments for immigration cases, e.g. Extreme Hardship, Political Asylum, U-Visa, N-648.
