About My Clients

Do you wake up most mornings with worries of what fresh hell awaits you, which social interactions are going to make you jump out of your skin, or when that next panic attack is going to rear its head? Have you struggled with low self-esteem, impostor syndrome, or a lack of belonging? These conditions are not lifelong and could all be connected. Through body-mind approaches rooted in mindfulness and somatic therapy, there is hope in healing. You are worthy of freedom--let's get there now.

My Background and Approach

I am honored to work with adults ages 18-64. Using a mindfulness-based, culturally humble, and anti-oppressive approach, I center my practice on unapologetic inclusion that creates compassionate and affirming spaces for clients to be their most open and honest selves. In addition to traditional "talk therapy," I provide creative body-mind supports such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, expressive arts and narrative therapies. Each client is unique, and I work to co-create a wellness experience that best supports their vision for healing. We might pause during sessions for a body-mind check, guided meditation, improv exercise, gentle movement, or whatever else is deemed appropriate. Laugher, fear, anger, numbness, tears, and any combination of emotions are all welcome.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has the power and capacity to create the resilient and brilliant lives they desire. As someone who values justice, I also believe that the main reason we develop mental health issues is because we learn to practice unhelpful behaviors as a means of survival and in response to harmful environments and societal factors. Old survival tools that no longer serve us can be replaced with ones designed to heal. My Blackness and Queerness also intersect with ecological justice: Our reconnections with nature are essential to collective liberation. From a nonjudgmental perspective, I believe in honoring the worth and dignity of every person. I strongly support self-care on a personal and professional level--we cannot pour from empty, dusty cups!
