About My Clients
Much of my recent practice has been with LGBTQIA+ folx, professionals seeking balance and new opportunities, those desiring to achieve and sustain emotion regulation, individuals invested in learning how to live authentically, survivors of loss, and adults grieving a painful childhood while learning how to live in the present. The work can be direct, yet gentle. There is a lot of space to feel, hold, and move. This is a time when the filters can go away and honest expressions are celebrated.
My Background and Approach
I practice as a strengths-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker, acknowledging the person-in-environment perspective and systems thinking, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I also hold a Master of Science in Criminal Justice. Over the course of my professional career as a psychotherapist, I have conducted many assessments and developed many treatment plans. The work can be broad and specific, while remaining client-centered. Addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—is my approach to integrated therapy. I am culturally informed, sensitive, and always ready to learn. I am primed to explore emotions and narratives that can arise from a complex upbringing, recent or overwhelming change, and painful loss. Learning how to stay in the present moment, with purpose and without judgment, is emphasized.
