Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado

About My Clients

I have a passion for working with individuals seeking support around connecting with their authentic selves, healing from trauma, and navigating anxiety. I focus on supporting individuals struggling with anxiety disorders, trauma based issues and interpersonal struggles. My population specialties include providing LGBTQ+ affirming services, as well as working with Latin/e immigrant and first generation unique experiences including acculturation, cultural identity, and marginalized stress.

My Background and Approach

I believe that everyone deserves to have a safe space in which we can explore all aspects of our being in order to express our most authentic selves. I have a passion for empowering individuals within their own bodies and experiences, as well as to make therapeutic safe spaces more accessible to all. My therapeutic work is grounded in two overarching principles: mindfulness-based approaches and culturally relevant practices. I provide therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based approaches including Self-Compassion, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and other Somatic based interventions, as well as social justice empowerment, psycho-education. Sessions can also be facilitated in Spanish or Spanglish.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

One of my most personally held personal values is that of gender and sexuality justice. As a queer identified Latina, I have experienced many injustices due to my sexual orientation. My personal experiences have fueled my passion and understanding for LGBTQ+ clients and Latin/e clients. I am intentional in providing LGBTQ+ Affirming services, including embracing LGBTQ+ identities and relationships and addresses the negative influences that homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism have on the lives of LGBTQ clients. I take pride in providing counseling to clients that identify within marginalized groups that may include (but not limited to) identity development, intersection of identities, systemic trauma and minority stress, acculturation, family and generational differences, and first generation students.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
I have experience with the following

  • Wicca/Paganism
