My Background and Approach
I provide clinical therapy to individuals and couples. My approach is mindfulness based and integrates several therapy models. I will work with you on tools you can use to better understand yourself and empower yourself to make the changes you want to make in your life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I hold a Master’s Degree of Business Administration. My social work career has been varied and diverse. I have worked in multiple settings including caring for people with chronic illnesses, individuals with cancer and inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse facilities. When I went into private practice I became interested in working with individuals struggling with eating disorders and body dysmorphia so have done extensive training in these as a private practitioner. In addition, I have extensive experience with mood and anxiety disorders. I have always had a passion for working with others to help them better their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have always had a passion for working with others. I believe that everyone has a purpose and everyone has the right to enjoy life to the fullest. I am a firm believer that everyone has a place and should be respected for who they are and that we can all learn from one another if we give ourselves the opportunity and listen to others. I believe we can all find what we seek by looking inside, working through the pain of the past, exploring ourselves and who we are now and learning to live fully in each moment. We can learn to accept pain with grace and give space to joy and sadness, learn to connect fully with others and allow them the space to grow as well.
