About My Clients
We all face unique struggles and hardships in life. Maybe you are experiencing major life changes, maybe you are recovering from difficult relationships and traumatic experiences, or perhaps you are exploring your identities and learning to accept and love yourself. Often, these experiences cause pain and distress. Luckily, we do have the freedom to decide how we respond to our suffering. If you decide therapy could be helpful, I would love to empower you to lead a fulfilling and authentic life.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist with years of experience treating depression, anxiety, and many other common issues faced by people. I received systematic and scientific training to practice as a generalist, and I specialize in working with people going through life transitions, trauma-survivors, international populations, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. My approach is person-centered, interpersonal, and attachment-based. I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition to therapy, I provide diagnostic assessment and ADHD evaluation to adult individuals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness are the foundations of my therapeutic work, as I consider them fundamental to real and meaningful connections. I also believe all ethical treatment should be culturally relevant and informed because every person deserves the right to be viewed and celebrated for their uniqueness.
