My clients are individuals living with anxiety, depression, and PTSD related to chronic illness and/or lived experience of violence (individual, community, intergenerational, historical) and are seeking a safe and compassionate space for tending to and processing the past, connecting to the present, growing skills, and healing. I specialize in working with those living with complex medical diagnoses (or multiple symptoms with no diagnosis), challenging prognoses, and "watchful waiting."
In addition to my clinical work with addictions, eating disorders, co-dependency and trauma. I am passionate about facilitating the personal and professional development of young therapists and clinicians. I am passionate about individual and group supervision and offer regular professional development seminars.
Therapy can be helpful as you navigate life’s everyday stressors, a difficult part of your history, past or ongoing trauma, or any feelings or circumstances that cause you pain or suffering. Therapy can also help you learn self-trust, build loving relationships, find ease in your mind and body, and move towards a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.
My emphases are addressing mental health of marginalized groups, and understanding how culture should be respected and acknowledged in the therapeutic space. As I continue to work on obtaining my doctorate in psychology, my interventions and approach to treatment informs me how to customize the therapeutic space for each client and praise our differences while promoting inner healing. Creating emotional space and showing the power of it helps my clients narrate their lives once more.
Let's go on a journey of exploration together, where we can discover ways to create comfort, find stillness, overcome challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. My practice focuses on working with those who may be navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship issues, codependency, or self-esteem concerns. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed or stuck, I’m here to help you uncover insights and develop strategies that align with your goals.

In my work with individuals, I support those looking to address anxiety, stress management, trauma, gender, sexuality, and sex. As someone who lives with a chronic illness, I also personally understand the complexities of navigating the healthcare system. In my work with couples, I work with folks looking for support with relationship issues within monogamous and consensually non-monogamous relationships. I’m also passionate about meeting the unique needs of neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ couples.
I provide trauma-focused individual and group therapy for adults. Typical concerns of the people I work with include managing the effects of traumatic experiences, relationship issues, intense emotions, and grief. Areas of special focus include supporting survivors of sexual violence and adults healing from the effects of child abuse and relational trauma in their families of origin including abuse, incest, neglect, and intimate partner violence.
Many of my clients express a deep longing to be known, but a simultaneous fear of being seen for who they are. Maybe you wonder how you got here: monitoring every bite of food that goes into your mouth or constantly checking your body in the mirror. You may have a lot of external markers of success and most people would have no idea how lonely and overwhelmed you feel inside and how hard it feels to get through the day.
As a marriage and family therapist is affirmative of all relationship configurations and identities. I am passionate about working within the LGBTQ+ community and non-monogamous folks who are looking to heal, restore love, and find new ways of connection. I practice from trauma informed and harm reductive relational-cultural practice.
Things have been tough lately for our community. But we come from a long history of survivors and thrivers. Are you wondering what changes (in action & mindset) could benefit you? What additional support and resources could help? I look forward to learning more about you, your life experiences & strengths. Then we can resource additional insights & tools to help you feel more grounded and set up for growth as you go forward.

When we cross oceans together, you'll be the steering the ship, with me as your navigator. I understand the complex reality of intersectional identity that creates privilege or compounds to reinforce oppression and marginalization. My clients seek to live the best version of their lives and are willing to explore to do so.
My experience with clients tend to be adults between the ages of 18-65, across the racial, gender, and sexual orientation spectrum; I work with individuals, couples, and occasionally facilitate a DBT Skills Group. I hold space for those who’ve felt like outsiders—whether due to trauma, race, queerness, or a combination of underserved or historically excluded identities. As a queer, kinky, poly Black man, my own lived experience brings an extra layer of understanding to my work.
I am passionate about working with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, family conflict, self-esteem, and body image concerns. Additionally as a queer therapist, I am committed to providing care to the queer community. Together, we'll uncover your strengths and set therapeutic goals that align with the life you envision.

As the expert of your own experience, you deserve to be listened to and understood. I intend to hold space for all aspects of your unique identities. Everyone faces challenges and obstacles in the world. For many of us, these barriers are the result of systemic oppression. In therapy, we can explore how your thoughts, feelings, and motivations are influenced by these external forces, and how you can navigate them authentically, while centering your inherent capacity and resilience.
