Alzheimer’s disease, a degeneration of the brain, typically occurs in late middle or old age, and is the leading cause of dementia. Alzheimer’s is irreversible and progressive – meaning that it gradually destroys a patient’s memory, ability to perform common tasks and thinking skills. People living with Alzheimer's disease may experience a wide range of feelings including grief, depression, confusion, frustration, anger and fear. Additionally, caring for a relative with Alzheimer’s can bring up feelings of stress, worry, grief, resentment, and guilt, among others. If you or someone close to you is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, a qualified mental health professional can help. Contact one of our specialists today.

I tend to work with adults, aged anywhere from early 20's to 40's, navigating a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, interpersonal problems, and emotional dysregulation. I also specialize in working with people who are generally doing well in life and experiencing successful but still feel unfulfilled with the focus on determining what types of problems may be underlying this discrepancy in life.
Grief consumes any significant change we did not (or maybe did) ask for. I am a certified grief-informed professional and educator with advanced training in complex & traumatic grief. Let me help you navigate what is holding you back from this place of loneliness and concern. Grief can often come out in the form of anxiety or depression, and working through the root cause of our distress can allow us to move forward with what we have lost.
