Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a classic talk therapy technique that helps increase awareness of negative thinking in order to better handle challenging situations. In addition to helping those with mental health disorders (such as anxiety or depression), CBT is also helpful for anyone who is looking to learn how to manage stressful situations. Therapists that use CBT often have a structured program, which involves a set number of sessions. CBT is frequently paired with other treatments, such as medication, when necessary. Think this approach may be right for you? Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s CBT experts today.

I believe the most important part of therapy is having a person you can trust who makes you feel supported and accepted. During and after the initial session, I focus on developing the therapeutic relationship and providing empathy, support and validation. I enjoy working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, alcohol and substance abuse, stress, life transitions, and the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as many other concerns.

I strive to provide an environment that is non-judgmental, laid back, safe, and comforting.

I believe people are more than the sum of things that have happened to them, and the core of my practice centers on partnering with clients and helping them build resiliency. Using a holistic, culturally sensitive, strength-based approach, I work with client issues including trauma, adjustment, PTSD, Adult ADHD, anxiety, social phobia, stress, and life transitions. I enjoy collaborating with individuals in identifying and working towards their goals to create lasting change.

During therapy I take a collaborative approach with my clients, working with them to explore their challenges and to grow from them. Over the years I have discovered that my clients value this collaborative approach and are motivated to engage actively in the therapeutic process. They might be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or navigating a life transition, but they are open to exploring these challenges with curiosity and a willingness to learn.
