Depression is a mental health disorder that affects mood, including how you feel, think, and behave. Everyone feels sad sometimes, but when it starts to affect your ability to perform daily tasks and your ability to enjoy things that typically bring you happiness, you may be suffering from depression. The symptoms of depression vary from person to person, but often include feeling miserable without a clear reason why, anxiety, agitation, insomnia or sleeping too much, hopelessness, changes in eating, and/or foggy thinking. Depression may also cause recurrent thoughts of death or suicide (or even a wish that it would all 'stop' in an abstract sense). If you think you might be suffering from depression, a qualified mental health therapist can help. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s depression experts today!
My clients are those that want to better themselves in some way, but are not quite sure what they want or how to get there. I love working with those that are making major life transitions, such as going to college, getting a new job, moving to a new location, changing a relationship status, etc. Sometimes when we feel stuck in a particular position, our potential gets stuck with us. I love working with eager folks that are ready to start confronting their anxieties in life.

You are curious and insightful. You want to understand yourself at a deeper level and are willing to look in to your internal world. You want to address family of origin issues. You have past trauma that you are ready to acknowledge. You may be feeling stuck in an addictive pattern, moving through a life transition, or maybe you just know something is "off" inside and you want to feel better. You strive to live free from past hurts and beliefs in an authentic, connected, peaceful way.
Together we form a collaboration of body, mind, and spirit in a trusting relationship to explore your truth, your strengths, and your unique life perspective. With conversation, reflection, consideration and the intention to challenge preconceived ideas, perspectives and actions you can try a different response for yourself or choose a new path forward. The life experiment continues to unfold in every moment.

I love working with individuals, couples, and adult families who are looking to grow and heal in ways that emphasize their unique human experience and authenticity. This might look like someone who is trying to forge their own path after being stuck in negative patterns such as codependency or perfectionism. It may look like a couple who wants to deepen their emotional or sexual intimacy. I love helping clients discover who they truly are--either as an individual or in relationship to others!

I work with a wide variety of clients from individuals identifying as LGBTQIA, poly, & kink to cisgender heterosexual individuals. My clients tend to struggle with issues of identity, depression, bipolar disorder, gender dysphoria, anxiety, panic, trauma histories, ADHD, family of origin issues, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship issues, stress management/self care, & interpersonal effectiveness. Clients also tend to seek me out for letters of support for gender confirmation surgery.
Feeling overwhelmed with anxiety and depression but don't know where to start? Wanting to make connections with others but don't know how exactly? Having a strong desire to take better care of yourself and be more present in your own life? You are not alone in this and in our work together we will work on symptom management, discussing what healthy communication looks like and figuring out what good self-care looks like for you and how you can actively engage in it.
