Interpersonal therapy, or IPT, is a short-term, focused treatment for mood disorders, such as depression. Rooted in attachment and communication theories, IPT is designed to help people address current concerns and improve interpersonal relationships. IPT is based on the principle that relationships and life events impact mood and that the reverse is also true. Treatment follows a highly structured and time-limited approach and seldom lasts longer than 16 weeks. The goal of IPT is to rapidly reduce symptoms. Think this approach might be right for you? Life looks “good” from the outside, but it feels anything but. You feel controlled by your anxiety, live in a constant state of disconnection, and desire a more authentic and intentional life. Change is possible—sometimes we just need the right tools and support to get there. You don’t have to settle for a life that doesn’t feel authentic or fulfilling to you. I help adults discover how to move forward in a way that supports their well-being and is aligned with personal values.

Do you have a narcissistic parent or partner? Are you always trying to please them, but never quite feeling good enough? Do you feel easily overwhelmed, sensitive, or the need to be perfect? If so, you're not alone. I specialize in narcissistic abuse recovery, highly sensitive people, and perfectionism/overthinking. Navigating these types of relationships can be difficult, but with self-compassion, healthy boundaries, and support, you can reclaim your self-worth and find healing.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

For many of my clients, therapy is the first time their emotions and experiences are fully validated. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment where all people feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. My clients are motivated to work toward healing or make a change and may just not yet know where to start.
Some days it's like you can't take another moment of it. The worries that make your heart pound. The sadness that makes you cry for no reason. The destructive patterns you return to , again and again. It feels like you're alone, and even if someone could understand, they might think worse of you. Let me help you get through it. Everyone has potential. Amazing potential, in fact. But life can make us forget that. I see therapy as a tool to find not only wellness, but also yourself, again.
I work with patients that span the age range from 6 to 100. Beyond medication management, I use a blend of therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (for anxiety and depression), Exposure Response Prevention (for OCD), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (for Trauma) and Solution-Focused Therapy (for immediate improvement and better outcomes).
