Being a mom is really freaking hard. It's exhausting and at times it's not even a little bit rewarding. The journey to becoming a mom isn't always easy. I work with people in the perinatal period: preconception, during pregnancy, and in the postpartum period. I also work to support people after abortion, no matter the reason. The clients I work with may be suffering from postpartum anxiety and/or depression, maybe have experienced traumatic births or losses, abortion, or or the baby blues.
My practice specializes in working with clients that are queer and trans, and is inclusive towards all types of adults and adolescents. I am trained in EMDR, ERP, CBTI and I have a resident in counseling that works with clients that are LGBTQ+, and specializes in chronic illness.
My clients are compassionate souls feeling overwhelmed by relentless fears and self-doubt. If you struggle with uncertainty or feel unworthy and ashamed, I know the feeling. Together we can turn self-acceptance into a powerful tool, one that makes your journey through life's unpredictability not just tolerable but meaningful and fulfilling.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
