About My Clients
Have you tried traditional talk therapy and felt it wasn't helpful to you? Do you feel like its difficult to put into words about how you are feeling? Sometimes words are just not enough to share the full breath of your struggles. As an Art Therapist, I want to offer you a different way to share what you are going through, whether it is depression, anxiety, or trauma. Or maybe you have ADHD and just need to do something while you talk. Whatever the case, we can work through this together.
My Background and Approach
I have multiple past internship experiences providing mental health services to people of many different backgrounds, from children to older adults. I am also currently in a graduate program that is continuously providing me with new information both from my professors who are also working as therapists, as well as from my peers who have their own, unique internship experiences. I have learned about many different approaches to therapy and my focus is on Person-Centered therapy. This means that my clients inform and guide each session and I am there for what they need in the moment. I also take from the Gestalt approach, Feminist Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care. In working working with me we can do traditional talk therapy, or we can implement art into the therapeutic process. I like to help my clients focus on their strengths and values and develop healthy patterns and coping tools from there.
