About My Clients
I am passionate about bringing together shared ideas in growth and communication. Many of my clients struggle with mood disorders, such as anxiety and depression. I specialize in work around complex PTSD, trauma sensitivities, and eating disorders. Mental health care can feel daunting to approach, but I am here to help my clients explore their world on a deeper level, sit with discomfort with more comfort, and find joy around them and in session.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a variety of methods. I may use Internal Family Systems, or AF-EMDR, to help you understand and heal from past traumas. If you're dealing with depression, I may use a combination of techniques, including CBT and emotion-focused therapy. As a clinician, I am deeply committed to client engagement, even via Telehealth. I believe in getting hands-on and working with you to ensure you feel valued and essential in your care. I am here to offer a curious, playful, warm, and trauma-informed approach to address a variety of diagnoses and human experiences. I am ready for this journey with you. I attended Indiana University, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Religious Studies. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University in June 2022 after completing an 18-month internship. My institution's genuine focus on openness, responsibility, curiosity, and accountability results in ethical, compassionate therapists.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My commitment to creating a safe and understanding space is unwavering. I bring my own experience with mental disorders to the therapy room to incorporate validation and normalization. As an ally and member of the LGBTQ+ community, I also work with people of all races, colors, religions, genders, gender expressions, national origins, abilities, and sexual orientations. This inclusivity is a core part of my practice, and I am dedicated to respecting and understanding your unique experiences.
