About My Clients
As a certified nurse-midwife, I have ten years of experience providing sensitive and affirming primary and sexual/reproductive health care to women, female-assigned, and trans-identified persons across the lifespan. Prior to coming to Nurture Therapy, I worked in primary and sexual/reproductive health in several Chicago non-profit clinics serving BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, HIV+, substance users, sex workers, and immigrant communities.
My Background and Approach
Trauma-informed and passionate about mental health, I bring both personal and professional experience to my patients facing anxiety, depression, and difficulties navigating the many challenges of life. Drawing on my experience as a clinician and educator, I am passionate about collaboration by communicating my knowledge and choosing medications and treatments based on shared decision-making.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am holistic in my approach to health and well-being and work to provide culturally humble care that is feminist, gender affirming, trauma-informed, anti-racist, sex-positive, sex-work affirming, and fat liberationist. I am a parent/caregiver of two toddlers and identify as a queer, trans/non-binary, neurospicy, fat/ fluffy, polyamorous, kinky, survivor of violence; I promise to provide a safe judgment-free space to any and all persons seeking medication management and support.
