My Background and Approach
I am bilingual (Spanish-speaking), bisexual, and Latina. I have 7+ years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families with trauma backgrounds along with symptoms of depression and anxiety. I have had the privilege of providing therapy in a variety of settings including field-based, schools, and a re-entry program. Through my individual work with clients, I take a holistic approach to treatment that is both patient and honest in nature. I challenge my clients in a respectful and safe environment, with client-identified goals leading the journey. As someone who has received therapy in the past, I'd like to thank you for taking what may feel like a huge step in this direction. As human beings, oftentimes we put our own well-being on the back burner (this could be for a number of reasons). I want you to know that YOU matter and whenever you're ready, I'm here to listen.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of age, sexual orientation, faith, gender, etc. I believe that an open mind can open up many doors including a pathway for personal growth. I truly enjoy being able to work with others on developing awareness and insight, along with self-confidence while encouraging them to stay true to who they are.
