About My Clients
My clients are young women who may be getting adjusted to a new phase of life. With life transitions, we often experience anxiety, stress or low self-esteem. My clients desire personal growth and healthy coping skills to manage the things that life is throwing at them.
My Background and Approach
As a licensed therapist in Washington, DC, I work with people hoping to learn about themselves, the way their multiple identities impact their day-to-day lives, and the support they need to make real changes. Marginalized communities face specific challenges that impact adjusting to adulthood. I am passionate about my work with the BIPOC & LGBTQ+ communities, as well as, women and college students. Starting therapy can be intimidating, and I pride myself on creating a welcoming and comfortable therapeutic space. In our sessions, I will take the "passenger seat", collaborating with you to create real goals and overcome challenges together while using CBT, ACT and Mindfulness. My empathy and authenticity will show through in every session, and I hope it encourages you to come as your true self!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that as human beings, we all are capable of growing and evolving into the person we desire to be. It's important to embrace the various aspects of our identities in this journey of growth and evolution. Despite what life throws at us, it is important that we find ways to reconnect with ourselves and find balance in our lives. I find balance in my life by reading and spending time with my dog and my loved ones. My goal is to help you find ways to connect with the parts of yourself that are most important and find and maintain balance in your life.
