About My Clients
I find meaning in helping others connect to their bodies and identify their needs so that they can honor themselves more fully. I enjoy cultivating a collaborative space with clients to explore their own experiences, thoughts, feelings, emotions, needs and values in efforts to experience more self-connection and awareness so that choice and change can become more possible.
My Background and Approach
I am a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker. I have a background in Nonviolent Communication (NVC or Compassionate Communication) and my work is grounded and rooted in the practice of connecting to our feelings and needs beneath our thoughts and judgments. My work is informed by my studies in neuroscience and the Polyvagal Theory. I find that connecting to the body holds wisdom and is a key in healing and discovery and enjoy integrating the body into sessions through somatic practices. I also have experience with integrating CBT, DBT, and IFS into sessions with clients as well as MBSR and mindfulness practices. I am inspired by and forever curious about the relationship between the conscious and unconscious and Jungian approaches to self-connection and discovery. I regularly attend educational and experiential workshops, webinars, and practice groups on all of the above mentioned practices and approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe each of us have our own Inner Wild - where our inner knowing and wisdom lives - where our deep beliefs and judgments, our feelings, emotions, needs + everything in between live. I believe that cultivating space to explore our Inner Wild is essential to self-connection, awareness, and change. There are different paths into our deepest Inner Wild, and I enjoy supporting people on discovering their own pathway towards self-connection, self-witnessing, and self-trust.
