About My Clients
When clients of mine enter therapy they often feel lost, without hope, and looking for techniques to work through life's difficulties. Dealing with overwhelming experiences and emotions can be a lonely experience, but it does not have to be. My goal is to create a safe setting for healing that facilitates gaining a stronger understanding of the self while obtaining skills to persevere.
My Background and Approach
My style of therapy involves tailoring treatment to the needs and personality of my client because I believe that everyone brings something unique to the room. I am a strong advocate for collaborating together as therapist and client to find what works for you as an individual. It is my belief that progress can’t be made in deep aloneness and my experience has taught me that positive change comes from the therapeutic relationship that we build together. My goal is to create a setting for healing through compassion, understanding, trust, and acceptance. Much of my approach aims to help a person build a sense of skill and mastery to work through difficult patterns and emotions. Additionally, I work towards helping my clients identify and challenge unhelpful coping mechanisms. My philosophy of therapy is that it needs to be practical and a team effort.
