My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Here are some of my lived experiences and intersectional identities that I bring to further add safety and support for you in therapy. Being East Asian, Taiwanese-Chinese American, multicultural, bilingual, and having grown up in different countries has cultivated resiliency, sensitivity, a deep understanding of multi-generational Asian American experiences, allyship with social justice issues, and a natural tendency toward holistic healing. Being a musician, singer-songwriter, and freestyle/improvisational dancer has given me the practice and privilege to playfully collaborate and improvise with others in a musical structure, as well as deeply experience the power of creating, performing, and weaving music and movement into therapy. Being a relational positive reinforcement animal trainer has trained me to notice subtle body language and behavioral shifts in relationship to others and the environment, and given me practiced confidence in supporting that being in that moment.
