About My Clients
Have you ever felt like an outsider in spaces where you thought you would belong? Perhaps you even leave parts of your identity behind to fit in with your family, friends, and community. And maybe because of your identities, you feel like you are battling oppression from various angles. As a Black, queer woman, I know what it feels like to navigate a world that was not made for you. Together, we can work to find balance and healing within the systems you are a part of.
My Background and Approach
In therapy, I use a person-centered approach that allows you to let down your walls and finally be yourself while finding ways to navigate systemic constraints. In this affirming space, we will work together to unlearn negative messages you may have internalized throughout your life and make changes to feel empowered, confident, and secure.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I practice anti-racism, anti-colonialism, gender and sexuality liberation, body positivity, neurodivergence affirmation, and disability liberation. I am committed to creating an inclusive therapeutic space that affirms all identities, cultures, and backgrounds while acknowledging the constraints we face as inhabitants of oppressive systems. By creating an affirming space, I hope to give you the support you need to navigate the challenges created by systemic barriers and intersectional forms of oppression.
