About My Clients

Offering multiple sliding scale slots for a limited time to those in economic need. I work with a broad range of adult (18 and over) clients, but specialize in clients establishing boundaries and finding their voice and agency, socialized female clients, LGBTQ+ clients, and couples. I see a wide variety of couples, but specialize in communication; boundaries; grief and adjustment around infertility/miscarriage; and deepening emotional intimacy, including trust-building after rupture.

My Background and Approach

I recently moved from the Bay Area, CA, where I was licensed and educated, to NC. I earned a Master of Arts in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and have been in practice for five years. Primarily trained in Gestalt therapy, as an integral therapist, I pull from a variety of other therapeutic modalities based on client goals. I've trained in other therapeutic approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy, Cape Cod Systems Model of Couples Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and Somatic-based couples therapy. I work with a wide variety of clients with anxiety/depression and experiences of complex or acute trauma. I've worked with a lot of clients coming to terms with and navigating gendered power dynamics and those experiencing infertility, miscarriage, and reproductive choices, as well as those living with autoimmune/chronic illness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I approach therapeutic work with a non-judgmental curiosity, appreciation of difference, and a sense of humor. My training emphasizes self-support, and I respect your unique subjectivity and encourage exploring the relationship between you and me as part of the therapeutic process. I consider therapy a collaborative partnership, and how I am trained to hold space aligns with my anti-patriarchal, anti-oppressive, feminist, and non-hierarchical values. I work well and have experience with a wide variety of clients, but specialize in female-identified clients; those exploring identity (racial, gender, sexuality, children of immigrants, e.g.); LGBTQIAA+ identified folks; those exploring spirituality; those adjusting to life-stage transitions or changes; and those longing for more purpose or meaning in their work or lives. With couples, I use a combination of Emotionally-Focused Therapy and Gestalt, and take a somatic, experiential, systems-based approach.
