My Background and Approach
The tools that I'll provide you with are tools that I have been perfecting over my career helping people just like you. I have a special interest in working with those from underrepresented populations, including racial/ethnic and sexual minorities. I also enjoy helping clients explore the benefits of physical exercise and mindfulness techniques as coping mechanisms to manage stress and anxiety. One of my favorite quotes is: "The more things you do, the more you can do." So no matter where you go, you'll always have access to discreet exercises that can quickly create relief. I will support and guide you throughout the therapeutic process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy staying active in my free time, engaging in activities like running and teaching indoor cycling. As a certified group fitness instructor, I seamlessly integrate physical exercise with traditional systemic therapy concepts when working with clients. Drawing from my personal therapy experience, I encourage clients to partake in enjoyable activities, not only breaking a sweat but also calming the mind to cope with stress and anxiety. My specialization lies in working with diverse demographic groups, including LGBTQIA+, African-American, Latinx, and teens.
