About My Clients
My ideal client takes their mental and emotional well being seriously and is engaged, motivated to heal, and has an openness for change. I too, have struggled through my own emotional challenges and I have witnessed family and friends deal with many of the same issues. I hope to be a person that you can trust and speak with openly in achieving your own personal metal health care goals.
My Background and Approach
I have been a Registered Nurse with 23 years of experience in various settings including psychiatric, drug rehabilitation, correctional, phone triage, education, telemetry, medical-surgical, wound care, ostomy care, orthopedics, physical and pulmonary rehabilitation, emergency, urology surgery and clinic, critical care, and post anesthesia care. I offer a strong ability to analyze situations and implement appropriate, empathetic interventions in collaboration with other professionals in a variety of situations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The greatest lesson that I have received in my role as a healthcare professional is that most human suffering is rooted in emotional and cognitive difficulty. These challenges often stem from pain or trauma, typically early in our development. The mind is an organ like any other in the body; as such, it needs care and healing from time to time! Often, the most impactful modality one can offer is that of human empathy and kindness. My fervent hope is to assist those who suffer to attain strength, resiliency, and inner peace.
