About My Clients
I work with teens and adults and am passionate about working with women struggling with perinatal mental health. I am also passionate about the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, maternal wellness, or gender identity, I am passionate about helping my clients walk through their life to be the best version of themselves.
My Background and Approach
I have a variety of tools that I have gathered throughout my career. I use many different approaches, depending on each client, and enjoy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and mindfulness skills. My goal is to assist and guide individuals in learning coping skills that they can take with them wherever they go, while also create specific goals for each person. I am trained through Postpartum Support International in Perinatal Mental Health, and I am passionate in working with individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that our life experiences shape who we are and how we respond to situations. As someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression since I was a teenager, I understand what it means to struggle and ask for help. I believe that we are able to employ coping skills and techniques to improve our lives and work towards goals to be who we want to be, while also processing and working through influential life experiences. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, a member of the Carolinas LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, and actively participate in community action within the LGBTQIA+ community. I am a soccer fan and an avid reality tv watcher, and believe that cinnamon rolls are the best things since sliced bread.
