About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I have approximately eight years of experience working in the mental health field, mostly in working in inpatient units with individuals diagnosed with Serious and Persistent Mental Illnesses (SPMI). I enjoy meeting people where they are at and help them develop the skills needed to improve their functioning, enrich their relationships, break down barriers, make steps towards goals, and create a more fulfilling life. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and a Person-Centered approach, my aim is to provide you with the skills to approach life actively and courageously. I can help you increase assertiveness, get "in touch" with you and your values, develop emotional awareness, and set up boundary lines.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a clinician, I believe that the therapeutic process is a collaborative one. You are the expert of your own life and experiences. Because of this, I believe that your therapy experience should be tailored to you and your needs. I want you to feel empowered to take an active role in the work we do and the paths we take.
