About My Clients
My clients are typically sorting through trauma, struggling with chronic mood concerns or looking for a deeper sense of healing in therapy. I use IFS and Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy to support folks who aren’t in “crisis mode" but know that there is another level of work that needs to be done to feel grounded in their relationship with themselves and others. My sweet spot as a therapist is opening a safe space for exploration and integrating what we learn in that space.
My Background and Approach
The tools I use in therapy center the client and trust that healing and clarity can be found within through a deeper connection with ourselves. I know that may sound kind of woo woo, so let me explain. I use both IFS (parts work) and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. These ways of doing therapy rely building a deeper and safer relationship with ourselves. They give us the chance to see ourselves in a new way. It can feel confusing inside sometimes. Many often feel like their thoughts are competing with one another, activating strong emotions and not being sure about what to do next. I use parts work to help sort out the multiple perspectives we all contain and make space to get clarity. Ketamine can be helpful with this process as it quiets ruminative thought and helps us change our actions. These moments of openness can bring powerful insights that then need to be integrated and woven back into our daily lives in a sustainable way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love being a therapist. It is such a joy to bear witness to other’s healing journeys. I have been supported by my own personal work with ketamine and it is an honor to share it with others in a safe space. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and am so grateful for all we are learning in the area of neurodiversity. Cultivating a space that is neutral around religious beliefs is very important to me. Psychotherapy can be deeply spiritual for some. For others that doesn’t resonate at all. I am committed to keeping a curious posture as clients bring in their spiritual beliefs or not. This is crucial for those working through former religious backgrounds and implicit learned beliefs of all kinds. I love working with other therapists. It’s more than a career and carries a societal weight these day that I think we must bear together. I practice with a systems and equity oriented worldview. I am a friend, parent, spouse, member of the LGBTQ+ community and obsessed pickleball player.
