My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem and transitions. As a therapist, my primary objective is to establish a nonjudgmental and nurturing environment where I can help you recognize and address the thought patterns and behaviors that may be impeding your progress towards realizing your highest potential. My hope is to equip you with effective tools for healing and recovery, as well as remind you of your innate wholeness.
My Background and Approach
Taking a holistic approach, I integrate various therapeutic methods, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, somatic therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and existential/spiritual therapy. Informed by a systemic, multicultural perspective and a trauma-informed lens, I am committed to providing a safe space for all individuals, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With a background in art therapy, yoga, mindfulness, and Buddhist psychology, I bring a unique perspective to my therapy practice. These aspects of my personal identity and practice greatly influence my approach to helping individuals. In therapy, I prioritize building a warm, friendly, and collaborative relationship. I deeply value the therapeutic connection, which centers around the profound acts of deep listening and witnessing. I believe healing happens when we slow down and choose with intention.
