About My Clients
I work with adults in an individual or couples setting. I strive to have an open space for everyone especially those who identify as BIPOC, neurodivergent, polyamory/ethical non-monogamy, kink/BDSM, sex worker, and LGBAQITGnc+ populations. My clients should be comfortable with meeting in a virtual space either via phone or video.
My Background and Approach
I have been working in various spaces and roles in the mental health field since 2015. I have completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (level 1), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (level 1), and Gottman Therapy (level 2). I have plans to complete Internal Family Systems Therapy (level 1) during 2023. I also have experience in providing person centered and existential counseling. My approach starts with finding out what brings you [and maybe your significant other] to counseling and developing a plan for us to get you there. I often think about this quote from Brené Brown when I define the counseling relationship, “I am a traveler, not a mapmaker. I am going down this path same as and with you.” I want to stay curious with you and let you fill the space while we navigate the therapeutic process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I want my therapy space to be accepting of all races and ethnicities, BLM supportive, LGBAQITGnc+ folks, abilities, disabilities, ages, and bodies.
