About My Clients
I work with individuals who have experienced various types of trauma, relationship concerns, abandonment issues, anxiety, and depression. Many of my clients are individuals who are on a journey of self discovery and wanting a space for authenticity, growth, and vulnerability.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling, and I approach my work through a social justice framework and a trauma-informed lens. I believe in challenging and transforming old narratives that may no longer serve you in your daily life. My goal is to help you identify and heal wounded parts of yourself, fostering resilience and growth. Additionally, I deeply value the bond between humans and animals, recognizing its healing potential. I have a golden retriever puppy named Wednesday who is a trained service animal and you may see her in our sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A Beginner's Mind Counseling approaches healing through curiosity, non-judgment, growth, and learning. It invites individuals on a journey of self-discovery, where all parts of themselves can be fully felt, seen, and heard. I believe it is essential to cultivate a capacity for change, which allows us to shift unhealthy narratives and better understand the root causes of maladaptive behaviors. By doing so, we can actively engage in the healing process—because time alone doesn’t heal; it only creates distance.
