About My Clients
My practice welcomes all people and centers queer trans people of color. Folks who come to see me tend to be interested in both personal and collective liberation, and are curious to be in a self-discovery process where they unlock their inner wisdom and transform beliefs shaped by trauma.
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed social worker, SIFI certified clinical supervisor, and a graduate of NYU’s Applied Psychology Undergraduate Program and Columbia University’s Master of Social Work Program. My history as a social worker, being alongside young people and families involved in unjust systems, informs my dream for collective liberation and my capacity to be deeply present for people’s pain. I work to show up authentically and lean on clients' input to find our way together. I will follow the client's lead with offering choices, asking for consent, and being curious about what’s informing their feelings, state, thoughts, and behavior patterns. I bring grounded presence, flexibility, and warmth to support clients in feeling seen, heard, connected, and less alone. My approach is integrative and pulls from Interpersonal Neurobiology, Internal Family Systems, relational and somatic therapies, ancestral wisdom, and decolonial practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a human that loves kimchi, dancing like a weirdo, syncing my energy with trees and birds, and being a good friend. I grew up in Korea, Thailand, The Philippines, Singapore, and landed in New York as an adult. I come from a people that survived colonialism by making delicious food out of plant roots. This informs my vision for all living beings to be free from the harms of oppressive systems, and find belonging in ourselves and relationships.
