About My Clients
I see adults and teens experiencing symptoms relating to trauma survival, depression and debilitating limiting beliefs about themselves and the world. I specialize in childhood trauma, C-PTSD, cult survivorship and spiritual abuse, medical trauma, and survivors of power based violence including domestic violence and sexual assault. I am an LGBT+ affirming clinician and have worked with several clients on understanding and accepting themselves, live more authentically and build a support system.
My Background and Approach
My experience comes from working at an advocacy center with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, in community mental health, and with teens at a residential treatment center prior to private practice. I have enjoyed working with clients age 3 to 85 incorporating trauma-focused and multicultrual therapy. I fully completed EMDR training in 2019. I have training and experience with treating dissociative disorders, recent or ongoing traumatic stress, and disaster response therapy via EMDR therapy when appropriate. I offer Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and EMDR therapy for clients hoping to heal attachment wounds, break harmful cycles, cope with changes, and create healthy connections.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active board member of the Montana Board for Mental Health Counselors, and was previously an Idaho Board Member. I am passionate about advocacy and increased awareness around issues impacting LGBT+ individuals and people of color. I have been actively involved in suicide prevention and highly familiar with but not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am passionate about the outdoors and family and spend my free time hiking to alpine lakes, fishing and adventuring with my two young sons and dogs.
