My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Seeking support and connection as an outsider can be challenging in a world that constantly demands conformity. Finding a therapist you click with can be even harder! How do you know if they'll really "get you", with so many experiences where people well...haven't. I do not ascribe to an object/subject view of therapy, where the client is the only subject of focus while the therapist plays a neutral object role. Both client and clinician show up in their humanness inside the relationship. In order for outsider clients to feel seen, safe, and supported they need to see the human that is their therapist. As an outsider myself, I can personally relate to the challenge of finding your people or place in this world. I offer a safe and inclusive space for outsiders to come as they are without fear of judgement, criticism, or prejudice.
