About My Clients
The cool thing about sex/sexuality is that my clients come from SO MANY different backgrounds. I work with a lot of couples/thruples/systems, kinky folks, sex workers, and folks of all backgrounds who want to explore their relationship with sexuality. Additionally, I love working with folks navigating their relationship with gender and all that comes with that. I also work with your depressions, anxieties, and other life stuff that generally comes up.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in sex education and have considered myself a sex educator for the past 10+ years. I have received some amazing trainings in my former profession as a sex toy educator. I have provided education in retail settings, chemical dependency settings, clinical settings, and in 2 seperate masters degree programs. In my 5+ years as a therapist I have worked pretty extensively with sexuality concerns. My therapeutic training is systematically based, and my approach is relational. It is my belief that a strong therapeutic relationship builds more space for process of therapeutic work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
OPE I think I answered this a little above. I believe therapy is based on a relationship in which the client can be open and honest about their experience and process what they want out of life. I try to center sex positivity, intersectional feminism, queer rights, and generally try to be a rad dude. Obviously I am supportive of black and brown folks and believe sincerely that their lives matter. My practice is one that centers community. My goal is to put money and energy back into community via: low/no cost trainings and consultation, mentoring new therapists, training therapist students from a sex positive lens
