My Background and Approach
Hello and welcome! I am a bilingual, licensed, and board-certified counselor with a large focus family therapy, stress reduction, developing healthy coping skills, chronic suicidal ideation, crisis management, acculturative stress, and maternal mental health. My background includes working in various mental health settings such as hospitals, clinics, non-profit organizations, mental health start-up groups, and government agencies. Educational background has been a fun journey. I attended Rhode Island School of Design and completed her Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in psychology from Brown University. A few years later I attended University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology where I completed my Master’s program in International Psychology of Trauma and Disaster. Her graduate school work focused on immigration and acculturative stress. Completed internships with World Health Organization (WHO), Unicef and Clinica Family Health.
