About My Clients
I have a passion for working with young adults, and adult individuals across the lifespan experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ2IA+ specific hurdles, and other mental health challenges. During our sessions, you will have autonomy over your treatment and the power to direct your healing journey in collaboration with a trained professional. My approach is built on trust, curiosity, and courage. We will always aim for what is suitable for you as an individual.
My Background and Approach
My path has led me to become a Therapist in Training pursuing my Masters in Clinical Counseling at the Family Institute at Northwestern University. My clinical approach is Trauma-Informed and integrative, emphasizing Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, and Feminist counseling theories. My focus is empowering young adults and adults of all identities to develop skills and strengths in managing their mental health and the ability to advocate for their own needs and the needs of their communities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my core beliefs that I hold close is that our identities as people are our completely our own and every one of us deserves to be treated with respect and love no matter what their gender or sexuality is. Sharing this belief and creating safe spaces for young people in the LGBTQIA+ community is something that I am deeply committed to. I practice this belief by volunteering with a suicide prevention hotline that specifically serves the LGBTQIA+ youth community.
