Licensed Professional Counselor in Atlanta, GA

About My Clients

I primarily see young adults and adults for individual, partner, and family therapy. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, anxiety, identity development, bipolar, depression, or psychotic disorders, and I utilize a variety of different person-centered modalities to work with clients to manage symptoms and live a more fulfilling life. Additionally, I provide free/low-cost gender-affirming letters for surgery, and lower cost ADHD evaluations.

My Background and Approach

My background includes working with LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as those navigating trauma. I have worked in outpatient group therapy, acute settings, and conducted individual therapy sessions. Previously, I worked as a therapist in a women’s trauma therapy center and facilitated groups for LGBTQIA+ clients. As a therapist, I utilize emotion-focused, attachment-focused, and trauma-focused CBT modalities. My hope is that clients feel empowered and heard on this journey. Sometimes, we just need a place where we can feel brave to explore ourselves and our emotions. Maybe you feel lost, or perhaps, you’re just not feeling like yourself anymore. No matter where you’re at in your journey, I’d love to work together. I believe that therapy isn’t always fixing something about yourself, but rather, curiously exploring and finding understanding about yourself. As a therapist, my goal is to create an environment where you feel safe to explore your feelings.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone needs support and, at times, a little guidance. I value being a strong advocate for my clients, and I believe that advocacy is a necessary and important part of my job. I work to create an equal environment for my clients, where clients feel empowered, believed, and valued. Both personally and professionally, I am committed to anti-racism and am LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming. I engage in my own learning and undoing via trainings, consultation, and reading to ensure I am providing the most competent care and continually doing better as a therapist. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and that clients have innate wisdom of themselves. I strive to help you find that and use it as a resource. I utilize inner child work, attachment theory, parts work, mindfulness and grounding in helping my clients find themselves, and grow.
