About My Clients

Many of us were conditioned into survival strategies that separate us from ourselves. This separation can create the belief that there is something wrong with us, as though we are unworthy or unlovable, leading to cycles of shame, numbing, anger, fear, and grief. In working with me, we can get to the root cause of these cycles. We can approach difficult patterns with a compassionate curiosity to help the authentic self shine through.

My Background and Approach

I am level one trained in internal family systems therapy. I am experienced with being on both ends of this approach as well, therapist and client. I truly believe this method is a very helpful way to get attuned to your system and to understand yourself. With getting to know and understand your parts, you can act more consciously. Through grounding in Presence, we can come into compassionate communication with the feelings that arise within. Our stories unfold before us. We can heal old wounds. We can unburden survival strategies that limit our potential. We can emerge from stagnant patterns of sadness and fear, hurt and anger to be able to embrace uncertainty with courage. This is what the therapeutic process with me is like. I bring a sense of calmness, creativity, curiosity, humor, and, of course, compassion to our work together. You bring yourself. I enjoy working with people from all intersections of identity, remaining mindful to how systems of oppression inform our experiences

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

For me, therapy feels more like a calling than a career. It has been a winding journey to get here, but every experience along the way has shaped how I practice today. Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Focusing modalities have allowed me to synthesize my life experiences and pursuits, making it a joy to help guide people toward understanding themselves and remembering who they truly are. A core belief that drives my practice is that we all deserve to be free and happy. I recognize that people are often doing the best they can within their unique circumstances. Because of this, I offer grace while also understanding that we can still work toward something better. I believe collective liberation is possible when we engage in compassionate and courageous inner and outer work.
