About My Clients
It takes great strength and vulnerability to ask for help and let someone in on our journey. When we hold identities that don't always feel accepted, we may wonder whether someone can truly understand us. My goal as your therapist is to take the time to get to know all of you - the parts you cherish, the parts you feel indifferent towards, and the parts you try to hide. We'll collaborate to create a safe space to foster your growth and healing.
My Background and Approach
I believe that from the moment we are born, we are constantly learning and observing how we relate to the world. Unconsciously, we recreate patterns that feel familiar to us and, eventually, these patterns may not work for us anymore. Through identifying these patterns, your narrative, and other significant events that shape you, we can create awareness to enact therapeutic change. We'll identify the values that are important to you in order to understand what it means to you to live a meaningful life. My approach is person-centered and unstructured in order to keep you at the center of treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer, person of color, I believe that it's a therapist's duty to create and offer unconditional acceptance and a safe space to foster our mental health. The world may feel unsafe and you deserve a place to talk about any injustice you experience. My intention is to always meet you where you're at to ensure your safety.
