About My Clients
I work with people 18+ who may be navigating stage of life changes (college students, young adults), as well as those who have experienced trauma, or are looking to improve day-to-day functioning when it comes to symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, and more. My sessions are a collaborative space. The metaphor I use frequently with my clients is to think of our sessions like driving a car. A part of my trauma-informed approach and empowering style is to place the client in the driver's seat.
My Background and Approach
My work in college mental health, trauma-informed care, and substance abuse recovery has provided me with crucial experience. My specialties are varied and continue to grow, ranging from depression, anxiety, trauma, to life transitions, multicultural considerations, social justice, relationship challenges, and stress-management. It is my goal to provide a space where individuals can explore and express themselves. I believe that therapy is a dynamic process that requires various approaches. Some of my techniques include: feminist therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.
