About My Clients
I work with couples and relationships that would like to deepen their sense of connection and ability to repair from conflict. Even the strongest relationships suffer from periods of distance, past traumas interfering with connection, and recurring patterns that keep us dissatisfied and frustrated. In my sex therapy specialty, I have experience with desire mismatch, sexual trauma, compulsive sexual behavior and porn use, ED and premature ejaculation, low libido, asexuality, and more.
My Background and Approach
I see individuals and relationships working through issues of identity, sexuality, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, trauma, and other hardship. My approach is warm and caring, but straightforward when necessary. I work through an attachment lens, as the research shows that our relationships with our early caregivers can inform how we attach to those we love as adults. This means we may not only explore your current hurt in sessions, but the root of where that pain comes from. I help my clients become more comfortable accessing and learning from their emotions, experiences, and body's signals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am sex positive, body affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and work with both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships. I aim to hold a safe space for BIPOC individuals. I work from an attachment lens and believe that the need for safe, nurturing relationships extends far beyond childhood. I firmly believe that reaching out for help is an act of bravery, and am here to meet clients wherever they’re at.
