About My Clients
I work with clients who are experiencing relationship and sexual concerns, including sexual desire differences, sexual dysfunction, affair recovery, and sexual compulsion. My clients have diverse sexual interests, gender identities, and relationship structures. I support you within your own personal, cultural, and religious values. In my practice, Enhancing Intimacy, we work together in a group practice so that we can find you a therapist that fits your goals, personality, and budget.
My Background and Approach
I founded Enhancing Intimacy with the goal to help couples deepen their connection through empathy and being heard. I believe in a holistic therapy approach, integrating heart, mind, body, and spirit. I am licensed in Texas as a Marriage & Family Therapist and Professional Counselor. I have achieved a Certification as a Sex Therapist Supervisor through the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, & Therapists, www.aasect.org, and a Certification as a Sex Addiction Therapist through the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals, www.iitap.com. I am a clinical supervisor to post-graduate therapists that work at Enhancing Intimacy and fully licensed therapists seeking AASECT (sex therapist) Certification. The education and tools that I have gained through my 15 years as a therapist are all to help you find happiness in your relationships. We'll collaborate on a plan together to get you feeling like your authentic self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I and the other therapists at Enhancing Intimacy strive to be non-judgmental and hold no preconceived notions of how you should live your life. We believe that sexuality shows up differently in each of our clients and that what you have been taught to be "normal" sex may look very different from your sexual identity and desire. We believe in working collaboratively with you to meet your goals surrounding your sexual health, relationship connection, and coping.
