About My Clients
My clients are women & moms who suffer from perinatal mood disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, low self-esteem and body issues. I support women 18-99 who may be seeking help with navigating the challenges of being a woman including providing information and support around infertility, pregnancy loss, PMS, endometriosis, PCOS and perimenopause/menopause symptoms.
My Background and Approach
I am a clinical social worker and licensed individual/family psychotherapist. I specialize in women’s health, maternal health, and trauma focused CBT. I am also an advocate for youth, adolescents, and the LGBTQ community. I provide education and emotional support to parents who may be having a difficult time navigating parenting challenges with children, adolescents, or teenagers. I seek to empower the women I work with to advocate for themselves while providing a supportive environment for marginalized groups struggling with mental health issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
For too long, mental health and physical health have been defined by cultural standards, societal pressures, and gender-biased healthcare practices resulting in a system that is not designed for the unique needs of women and children. You deserve to work with someone who understands your specific needs and can be the catalyst for change. My therapeutic goal is to empower my clients to find and use their own voice to advocate for their natural and human needs and responses and to identify specific strategies and tools to effectively minimize and manage troublesome symptoms.
