About My Clients
Most people come to me for help with anxiety, anger, and relationships. I help people by giving them insight into their problems, giving another perspective, and giving them concrete tools to use outside of the sessions. My clients often feel heard, validated, cared about, safe to open up, and understood. I allow my clients to talk about what is going on for them and what is on their minds. If they have nothing to talk about, I will take the lead and focus the conversation on their goals.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Solutions Focused Therapy. These approaches give clients a better understanding of the problems and ways to approach live more effectively. DBT gives concrete skills and tools to reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and better interpersonal skills and communication skills, which turns into healthier and better relationships. I am certified as a life coach and have been practicing for 10 years and I am licensed as a therapist and have been counseling for over 5 years. I have works with ages 5-75. In addition to mental health experience, I have also worked in the substance abuse field helping people with addictions to alcohol, marijuana, heroin, and other substances.
