About My Clients
I have special interest in supporting individuals who want to modify their relationship and behavior with substance use, as well as explore matters related to gender and sexuality. My scope of practice has included clinical work with economically and medically underserved communities, particularly Q-BIPOC folx, immigrants, high performance athletes, 1st generation college students and early professionals, supporting them in coping with the pervasive stress of systemic oppression.
My Background and Approach
As a licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective mental health support to clients and communities. I provide individual and couples counseling, conducting assessments and developing personalized treatment plans. I offer gender-affirming and transcare support, and I'm skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Meditation and Relaxation, as well as psychedelic-assisted integration and processing. I am committed to fostering positive change and empowering clients to navigate life's challenges. Let's work together to promote mental well-being and resilience!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold the belief that individuals can undergo positive change and continual growth throughout their lives. I reject the notion of limits on human capacity. In my perspective, mental health issues often stem from learned behaviors that are unhealthy, acquired over time. Consequently, I am optimistic about the possibility of unlearning these detrimental behaviors and replacing them with healthier alternatives.
